Patagonia Pink Amethyst with Calcite

When first discovered they wasn’t sure whether it was Amethyst or a different variety of Pink Quartz so it went under microchemical analyses and this determined there was two type of Iron therefore the definition of Pink Amethyst was correct as Amethysts colouration is due to Iron/ Hematite.
